Hey there internet!

its been a long time hasn't it. A lots been going on lately, moved out of the booger barn and into a new apartment. Sorry that's taken all my time, but here's something I managed to fart out in a few minutes.

I'll try and have something with more effort and higher quality in the near future, but for now you'll have to settle for a new... Teddy Bear Death!

Oh not much eh? that's good to hear. Well, I'm not asking because I care, moreso just to ask to find a way to talk about myself some more. So being that its mother's day tomorrow, I thought I'd get festive and do something for my ma.

Change? got any change?

Whats up again!
HERE I was sitting down today thinking, "You know what?! I'm gonna be productive today!!! I'm gonna do something worth my time like, find a job, or animate something, or learn a new skill!" EVERYONE should try learning a new skill every now and then, right?
But then after ten-failed minutes of pretending to animate traditionally I got back into photoshop... It was only supposed to be for a few minutes, something to fart around with while I ate lunch. Alas its 4 hours later and I have some new crap to post. (not to mention a 'fancy' new (stock) layout for my ever-growing blogosphere). And a new title box that's pretty much just an alternate version of the drawing in this posting.

So here's the sketch. One day at Work a while back I was wasting time, and listening to nirvana, skynyrd, and smashing pumpkins. ...Where this sketch came from, I'll never know.... And all I had was a pen.

Hey there interweb.

I haven't been up to a whole hell of a lot lately, and haven't updated in a while. So to make myself feel like I'm doing something productive, I figured I'd put up a couple more sketches from my "Mercury Sessions" folder. ...just to keep you interested in me :)

This first one is just an amalgamation of all the drawings and sketches I've done of my lady in the last few months. I was gonna leave them just as the raw sketches, but figured I'd pretty them up for you; John Q. Public.

Hobgoblin 2.0 ...and whoring myself.

Ok, so here's another quick update.

I did this hobgoblin sketch, it was one of my "Mercury Session" drawings.

Technically I drew this one like weeks before I drew the one that's already posted near the bottom of the blog. It just took me until now to actually want to paint it.

Here's a before and after shot of the drawing, just because I thought it may be cool for everyone to see the entire adventure of it rather than just me.

lately things

So yeah, I haven't been up to a whole hell of a lot lately, but last week I got the animation bug up in my ass, so I decided to just do something to fuck around.

My lady had an idea for a little scene involving a flamingo, but I didn't really know how a flamingo moved. This here is the most basic of walk studies with a flamingo. I know some things are off about it, I'm still in the process of tweaking. And then maybe adding some character to it afterwards.

Stay tuned in the coming weeks for the completed scene.

So, I went to Sandy hill life drawing for the first time ever this week, it was my first time actually life drawing (I say actually, in a way that I mean life drawing someone outside of the house who was paid to model for me and others) in almost a year. This was the product of that evning. I had fun, I hope you do too ...looking at the pics that is... ...and if you don't... ...you're not a nice person.

I had an itch to post today, and since I don't have anything too fantastic to put up yet. I figured I'd put up some of my "mercury sessions" doodles. Just random ideas that came out of me whilst at Mercury. Look forward to more nuggets like these.
